Tamara Pallas is an Associate Attorney at Luis E. Barreto & Associates, PA. Tamara began her legal career as an Assistant Public Defender here in Miami-Dade County. As an Assistant Public Defender, Tamara was responsible for all aspects of a voluminous and trial-active criminal caseload. She has extensive experience in both jury and non-jury trials, evidentiary hearings, and depositions of both civilian and expert witnesses. While in law school, Tamara served as an Articles Editor for St. Thomas University’s Law Review and was a co-author of an article published in the school’s law journal. She was an executive board member of the Moot Court Team and competed nationally. She now brings her tenacity, discipline, and people skills to our estate planning and probate litigation firm. She focuses her practice on trust and probate litigation and guardianship matters. Tamara is eligible to practice law in Florida and New York.

Additionally, Tamara is active in the legal community. In law school, she chartered St. Thomas University’s Hispanic American Law Student Association and was a student member of the Cuban American Bar Association. She continues to be an active member of the Cuban American Bar Association, Florida Association for Women Lawyers, and The Real Property, Probate & Trust Law Section of the Florida Bar. Tamara believes an important part of being an attorney is giving back to the community. In that vein, she sits on the planning committee for CABA’s Night with the Marlins which helps raise funds for the CABA Pro Bono Project.
