Since its founding in 1998, the law office of Luis E. Barreto & Associates, P.A. has focused on providing advice, services, and representation in the areas of estate planning, probate, estate litigation, and elder law.

Our Attorneys and Staff
The founder of our practice, Luis E. Barreto, earned his law degree at the University of Miami Law School after a career working for a Fortune 500 company and serving in the United States Coast Guard. Since 1992, he has concentrated on providing legal services to individuals and families in the areas of probate litigation, guardianship litigation, estate planning, probate and guardianship administration, and related areas.
Every member of our staff brings deep concern for clients’ needs to the firm in the areas of estate planning, estate litigation, and elder law, and a strong desire to help them achieve their goals in these areas.
We pride ourselves on providing responsive and personalized service. We will answer your questions, return your phone calls, and provide frequent updates throughout the legal process. In addition to speaking English, our lawyers and staff speak Spanish, allowing us to serve our clients in the most effective manner possible.
Luisa M. Linares received her Bachelor’s Degree from Columbia University and her Juris Doctorate from St. Thomas University School of Law.
Luisa is a member of the Florida Bar since 1996. She has been a litigator for the past 21 years and has represented both the Plaintiff and the Defendant.
She has been a Guardian ad Litem for neglected and abused children. She strongly advocates for her Clients to achieve a fair result.
Stephanie M. Miranda earned her Bachelor’s degree in English from the University of Florida and her Juris Doctorate from Florida International University College of Law. Born and raised in Miami, she attended high school at Our Lady of Lourdes Academy and elementary/middle school at St. Theresa Catholic School.
During law school, Stephanie worked as a judicial intern for the Honorable Judge Maria Korvick in the Probate Division at the Eleventh Judicial Circuit of Florida, wherein she completed over 130 hours of pro-bono service. Since becoming a member of the Florida Bar in 2017, she has dedicated the last 5 years to working in the areas of probate, guardianship, estate planning, and real estate.

Yuneymis “Yuni” Barreto earned her law degree at the Florida International University College of Law in 2015. Yuni was born and raised in Cuba. Law has always been her passion. Yuni attended 5 years of education at the University of Havana, School of Law, before coming to the United States. She is a proud alumna of the Heckerling Institute of Estate Planning and earned her Master of Laws (LL.M.) in Estate Planning from the University of Miami in 2019.
Yuni has been a member of the Florida Bar since 2016. She exclusively practices in the areas of estate planning, trust and estate administration, trust and estate litigation, and probate related matters.
Yuni is currently enrolled in the University of Florida, Levin College of Law, Graduate Tax Program and is expected to earn her Master of Laws (LL.M.) in Taxation in May 2026.

Lily Wang-O’Brien earned her Master of Laws (LL.M.) from Northwestern University Pritzker School of Law, her Master of Science (M.S.) in Cybersecurity Risk Management from Indiana University, and her Juris Doctor (J.D.) from Indiana University Maurer School of Law. She also holds a Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.) from Tunghai University in Taiwan.
Lily has been a member of the Florida Bar since 2023. Before focusing on probate litigation, she spent over a year practicing commercial litigation at a prestigious Coral Gables firm.
Originally from Taiwan, Lily is fluent in Mandarin. In her free time, she enjoys painting.
